What to expect

We travel in a speed boat from island to island, starting in Sapzurro, Colombia to Cartí in San Blas, Panama. Travel time between islands is short with a maximum of 2-3h per day on the boat – we want to maximize island time.

The trip fare includes the boat ride, all meals, accommodation in traditional cabins on two islands, stops on islands and villages and support for crossing the border into Panama.

Day 1

Start in Sapzurro, Colombia. Our first mission is to cross into Panama but don’t worry, we take care of the complex border formalities for you. Once done, we head off towards San Blas and the first islands. At night, we sleep in a Kuna village. Learn about our traditional dances and lifestyle.

Day 2

Today, we continue exploring the Kuna culture. In the afternoon, we reach the area of Cartí where some of the most famous and beautiful islands are located. At night, sleep in a traditional cabin right next to the beach and enjoy the endless night sky.

Day 3

On your last day, we will discover some of the most beautiful islands that San Blas offers. Snorkel colorful reefs and enjoy paradise! Our tour ends in the afternoon in Carti, San Blas from where you can travel to Panama City (3h).

“I opted to use the services of a Kuna-based company, San Blas Frontera, to be sure that my money would end up staying within the community. As well as meeting the Kuna communities, I was also lucky enough to enjoy the beautiful, sandy beach with not a care in the world. A different sunny island for each day of the year – definitely something I could get used to!”
