See a short video about our origins and the 3-day island hopping trip from Panama to Colombia. On this trip, you will see remote villages close to the Colombian border, such as Luis & Felix hometown, Armila, which is featured in the video.
Starting out with a handful of palm-thatched cabins on Isla Iguana in 2008, we have grown over time to one of the main operators in the San Blas area. From Iguana we moved to Isla Naranjo Chico, running successfully Cabanas Casso (see: Lonely Planet) and started our company San Blas Frontera in 2017 with new day-tours and our highly popular 3-day island hopping trip across the Panama-Colombia border.
We are a local, family-run business with close ties to our local communities and culture. Luis, our “creative head”, is a visionary and passionate world traveler – having visited over 30 countries, he constantly brings home new ideas to improve our services while preserving our local connection.
We are on a mission to share the beauty of our home country while respecting & preserving our Kuna heritage and mother nature. We want to provide you with a unique and authentic impression of our simple lifestyle paired with an unforgettable island adventure and great service.
While our own cabins and restaurant are currently under renovation, we meanwhile continue to offer our day tours and multi-day tours as before with a focus both on island trips and cultural trips (tours involving visits to villages might be impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic).
We have paired with some of the best islands in the region and put together some exciting packages for multi-day stays on those islands.
